Heiner Family Coat of Arms

SOURCE: Eva Cragun Heiner, Family records of Eva Cragun Heiner, possession of Gaylynne Heiner Hone.

While the crest shows “Heiner’ it is the same one used by Hiner, Hayner and many other forms of the family name. The authenticity of the background and design was researched by Mrs. Kenyon of Washington D.C. who was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and also a duly certified genealogist. The Crest was taken from old German records known as the Wasser Book.” The Golden Cock is the symbol of the family, the three flowers represent three wives of three notable German families who were united in marriage with early Heiner’s of the 1300s.
